Our client an international freight forwarding and logistics company, is seeking a licensed customs broker to join their Illinois team.

Title: Licensed Custom Broker

Industry: Logistics

Type: Full Time Direct Hire

Salary: $75-95K DOE

Hours: 9 - 6 PM

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Classify goods using HTS codes
\n
• Prepare and submit customs entries via ACE/ABI
\n
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies
\n
• Communicate with Customs, PGAs, and clients on shipments
\n
• Resolve holds, exams, and clearance issues
\n
• Maintain accurate import documentation and records
\n
• Coordinate with logistics teams for cargo release and delivery
\n
• Support audits, process improvements, and train junior staff
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• 3-5 years of experience as a licensed customs broker
\n
• Knowledgeable in US import regulations, HTS classification and PGA requirements
\n
• Active US Customs broker license
\n
• ACE , ABI proficiency
\n
• Excel experience
\n
